Unity Muse was Unity's original first-party AI toolset for game development, offering in-editor generation of scripts, textures, animations, and chat-based guidance. The product has since been retired and replaced by Unity AI, which is bundled directly into Unity 6 subscriptions. Unity AI provides an agentic in-editor assistant with full project context, an AI Gateway for connecting third-party frontier models, and an MCP Server for IDE integration. Personal plan users can access it through a paid monthly subscription, while Pro, Enterprise, and Industry subscribers get credits included in their existing plans.
