About

STORM, developed at Stanford, stands for Synthesis of Topic Outlines through Retrieval and Multi-perspective Question Asking. Given a topic, it simulates conversations between a writer and a subject expert from several different viewpoints, uses those conversations to gather information from trusted web sources, builds a structured outline, and then writes a full article with citations.

The result is a detailed, referenced report that resembles a Wikipedia article, useful for researchers, students, analysts, and anyone who needs a thorough starting point on an unfamiliar subject. You can review the brainstorming process the tool followed and export the final piece as a multi-page PDF. STORM is a free, open research project from Stanford University.
