Descript takes the transcript of any audio or video file and lets you edit the media by editing the words on screen. Delete a sentence from the transcript and the corresponding clip is removed from the video. Alongside text-based editing, it includes AI tools for removing background noise, eliminating filler words, correcting eye contact, and generating captions automatically. An AI assistant called Underlord can draft scripts, design scenes, and create custom video content. Descript suits individual creators, marketing teams, and learning and development departments. The free plan covers one hour of media per month, with paid Creator and Hobbyist plans offering more hours and full AI access.
